PRS licence

We believe in the artists we feature on the site benefiting from what we do, and indeed there is a legal obligation for any site that contains music and or video of artists performances to have an up to date PRS licence to do so.

This is necessary even if the artists are fine with the use of their work for promotional purposes. It is probably even more important in the folk and roots world. FolkArts England put a massive effort into lobbying PRS to ringfence royalty payments from the folk world to be paid back to those folk artists, it's only fair that sites like ours help support these efforts.
