Show of Hands at Olympic sailing venue

The Bayside Festival will bring two weeks of top level live entertainment and attractions to the Dorset coast. Show of Hands will play the main stage at 9pm on Monday, July 30 with support from five piece Isle of Wight band Lucid. The triple BBC award winners will be among a rich mix of musicians ranging from the Band of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines to pop-rock star Chesney Hawkes, best known for his Nineties chart topper The One and Only. Other entertainment includes The Moscow State Circus and numerous tribute bands such as Ultimate Earth Wind and Fire, The UK Pink Floyd Tribute Show, Charlotte Hopley as Lady Gaga and The Ultimate Eagles.

Music from Show of Hands only instrumental album features on a new interactive website promoting one of the world’s greatest long distance footpaths.

The revamped website was launched this month with music from Steve Knightley and Phil Beer’s album The Path featuring on several themed videos. The site is the online guide to the 630-mile trail running from Minehead in Somerset to Poole in Dorset, described as “the UK’s ultimate challenge for the long distance walker”.

The 2003 album was commissioned for the 25th anniversary of the UK’s longest national trail by Devon County Council’s South West Coast Path Team and was supported by the National Trust, RSPB and English Heritage.

The Path is available to order from the online shop at www.showofhands.co.uk and digital download sites including iTunes.
