Purbeck organisers are delighted to bring acid-croft celtic rockers SHOOGLENIFTY back as Friday night’s headliners. Joining them on the bill are Americana band Larkin Poe and Canadian banjo-songwriter Old Man Luedecke. Aussie bluesman HAT FITZ + Cara Robinson were among the hits of last year’s festival and return by popular demand.
On Saturday, KT TUNSTALL and Rory McLeod (with Familiar Strangers) head the bill. Among the young bands supporting are: American crossover roots band Harpeth Rising, award-winning celts the Roving Crows and the brilliant duo Gilmore + Roberts.
Sunday has a Birmingham flavour with THE DESTROYERS, The Old Dance School and Jack McNeill + Charlie Heys. Keeping it young are promising folk trio Tyde and bluegrass outfit The Jaywalkers.
Ceilidh firepower is provided by the Monster Ceilidh Band (Sunday) and Kat Hurdley’s young Dorset Ceilidh Band (Saturday).
Weekend tickets for the festival £85 are available from Ticket South. Day tickets are available from 1 July. Camping for ticket-holders is totally free for the weekend in an idyllic setting.
