Bath Folk Festival's competition gig night

The Bath folk festival competition, in conjunction with Real World Studios, starts this week at Widcombe social club on Friday 18th of May. This will see five acts from various folk styles compete with three songs each to win the prize of a recording session at the prestigious Real World Studios in Box.
Performing the first heat is Mac Seka , from Senegal with his mellow almost blues like guitar style fused with his lullaby singing in his native language of Wolof, Keir Krishnamma-Hillier from Corsham performing with his Brother Kyle, Glastonbury French and European funky folk fusion band The Green Angels and singer/songwriters Ella Janes and Sylvia Novak.
The doors Open at 7:30pm and Entry is £4. All funds raised will help towards running the Bath folk festival.
Remember! The early bird offer for season tickets for the festival ends 1st of June. In other words less than 3 weeks left to take advantage of the early bird offer on season tickets and the fab summer school and make great savings.
