Moulettes new single and tour dates

The wonderful Moulettes go from strength to strength, and will be touring Autumn 2012 in support of the Levellers acoustic and the crazy world of Arthur Brown. The Moulettes manage to pull together more influences than you can shake a stick at whilst simultaneously ripping up the rulebook - the second single 'Uca’s Dance' from their album ‘The Bear’s Revenge’ is a perfect example of this marvellous musical maelstrom.

Uca's Dance has an intriguing story behind it, Moulettes’s songwriter, Hannah Miller conceived it when she was a music-workshop leader at the Most Mira (meaning Peace Bridge) children’s festival in Bosnia in 2009. The aim of the festival was inspire artistic creativity in the young participants and build lasting bonds in their community. One night a Romanian fire-dancer, Uca, who was also working with the children, performed a dazzling impromptu dance, and Hannah spontaneously improvised an accompaniment. The song was born.

Moulettes will be supporting The Levellers and The Crazy World Of Arthur Brown this autumn as well as headlining their own shows.
