The up and coming unaccompanied singer Rosie Hood has won the Fred Jordan memorial competition 2012 at Bromyard Folk Festival. The competition recognises new talent and is named after one of the great grass roots and genuine English traditional singers. We interviewed Rosie at Shrewsbury folk festival and you can see the interview below.
Rosie is rapidly gaining popular attention, she was a finalist at New Roots 2011 and winning the Open Mic Competition at Shrewsbury Folk Festival, resulting in opening for the Cecil Sharp Project.
