John Jones and Oysterband live dates

After the glorious Big Session Festival where the Oysterband performed in many guises over the weekend it seems only fitting to list their live dates for the rest of the year. In the Autumn they will be doing another popular acoustic tour. Once again this year, John Jones will be setting out on a walking tour starting at Lyme Regis and ending up ate the Larmer Tree Festival.

The Feet Don’t Fail Me Now tour 2010 will see John walking from Lyme Regis to the Larmer Tree Festival near Salisbury.  On the way, he will stop to play gigs at Broadwindsor and Cerne Abbas. He’ll be joined en-route by the Reluctant Ramblers – various surprise celebrity guests from the folk music world who will be striding out with him, and joining him onstage at each of the gigs.

With this second Feet Don’t Fail Me Now tour, you can sense that John would like to be doing this kind of thing more regularly. “I’d love to make this an annual event,” he agrees. “I tour with Oysterband all over the world each year, and it can get quite hectic, but this is like a calm centre to look forward to: exploring a new landscape, finding lovely villages, little gems of pubs…it reminds you of what is so great about living in Britain.”

Tues 13th Walk to Broadwindsor, gig at Comrade’s Hall with full support and bar. 

Wed 14th Walk to Cerne Abbas, gig at The Giant Inn

Thurs 15th Walk to Larmer Tree Festival, set at The Social on the festival site.

Friday 16th John is interviewed about the Feet Don’t Fail Me Now tour; Oysterband play the mainstage at Larmer Tree Festival.
