The Oxford Folk Festival in March 2009

The Oxford Folk Festival is only in its sixth year and yet it already has an excellent reputation and is attracting some of the scene's best acts. It all takes place from Friday 20th - Sunday 22nd March 2009 and features amongst others - Kate Rusby, Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain, Dhol Foundation, Spiers & Boden, LAU, New St George Waits, Reel Bach Consort (Bonn), Cum Suis (Leiden), Wilber, Cock and Bull Band and Oxford Fiddle Group.
Last year was a huge success with the BBC saying...
'The Oxford Folk Festival has truly come of age. There have been only four before, but this year’s performances have cemented its reputation as the first great festival in the nation’s calendar of essential musical events. Just as it gets light in the evening, the Oxford Folk Festival comes along to lift your spirits by anticipating a frolicking summer of music.'
There is a forum on their site which should answer most questions. And there's a chance of early bird nicely priced tickets, if you are quick. Alternatively, you may like to help out with the stewarding.
