Bath Folk Festival goes to town: 13th - 19th August
For their third year The Bath Folk Festival are going to town, literally! Utilizing venues far and wide across the city there'll be over ninety events featuring concerts, sessions, workshops, a five day Irish music summer school, and the final for the New Shoots Competition which boasts a recording session at Real World Studios as a prize. It takes place from 13th to 19th August.
Confirmed acts for this year’s festival include Spiers and Boden, Brendan Power and Tim Edey, Dave Swarbrick, Spiro, Karen Tweed, Des Hurley, Tom McElvogue and Chris O’Malley, Reg Meuross, Alan Burke, Malarchy, Mawkin, Stompin Dave Allen, Inu, The Quirkish Delights, Blackthorn, Beth Porter and the Availables, Claire Mann and Aaron Jones, Ray Coen, John Ruddock and Jon Hicks.
As you can see, something for all tastes, and have a look at the listings, there's something to suit all budgets as you'll find plenty of free events including Clayton Denwood, Steve 'Blabbermouth' Thompson, Gren Bartley and The Gentle Good.
