Finniston discography

Finniston have grown into a full band from the brother and sister duo of Steven Finnie and Jolene Crawford. Based in Glasgow, they are carving quite a name for themselves. They have produced two ep's and gig extensively north of the border. Their latest ep Golden Hour Of Strict Tempo Dancing showcases their expanded sound with more ambitious arrangements.

They debuted with Popular Music That Will Live Forever, a set of sparkly heart felt acoustic songs full of emotion and delightful harmonies. Stevens lead vocals have a superb range and the harmonies developed with Jolene are captivating. They write great songs that get under your skin for their emotionally uplifting impact. Have a listen to the samples on their web site.

As kids growing up in the north of Scotland they had the obligatory fiddle and piano lessons, as well as highland dancing (bet Steve loved that). As all families do they grew up and went their separate ways, but in 2003 they found themselves living a few streets apart in Glasgow. they got together and capitalised on the years spent playing in various bands to write their own material.

Not content just with that they've recently gathered a bunch of musicians from all over Scotland to make a compilation album, the project is called the Wendy House and involves Attic Lights, Evan Crichton, The Boy Lacks Patience, The State Broadcasters, Vivien Scotson and of course Finniston
