Marry Waterson & Oliver Knight - new album 'Hidden'

With the success of last year’s acclaimed debut, ‘The Days That Shaped Me’, Marry & Oliver have readied a second album, ‘Hidden’ for release on One Little Indian, 24th September. “I realized pretty early on that I was writing about many different characters” says Marry, “but all with similar traits - concealment, deception and avoidance.” Musically too, it is a more diverse set than its predecessor with forays into ragtime, music hall - even ska, as well as the more traditional folk styles that one might associate
A great group of musicians was assembled: mReuben Taylor (The Athletes) on Piano and Organ, Cello from Barney Morse Brown (Duotone), percussion from Pete Flood (Bellowhead) and Double Bass from Miranda Sykes (Show Of Hands).
‘Hidden’ also boasts special guest appearances from Martin Carthy, Eliza Carthy and Coope, Boyes and Simpson.
The duo have just announced a gig at the Slaughtered Lamb in London on Monday 17th September
